We're on the lookout for a dedicated Full-Time Mental Health Worker/Peer Support Worker to join our team in Kadina, a close-knit, growing regional centre on the stunning Yorke Peninsula. What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who's not only skilled but passionate about making a difference. Here's what you'll need to thrive:

  • Qualifications: A Degree or Diploma qualification in Human Services or A Certificate IV in Community Services, Disability, Mental Health in or A Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
  • Screening Checks: DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening
  • Experience: You've worked with people facing complex psychosocial challenges and know how to motivate and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Skills: You're a problem-solver, a listener, and a compassionate guide. You have strong professional boundaries, and you're skilled at managing crises and conflicts.
  • Energy: You're ready to bring your best to every client interaction, seeing the person beyond the challenges.

In addition, your lived experience of mental health recovery will allow you to:

  • Inspire resilience: Through your personal journey, you'll instil hope and demonstrate that recovery is achievable.
  • Provide meaningful support: Your ability to connect and offer a compassionate, non-judgemental approach will build trust with those you work with.
  • Cultural awareness: You'll support people from diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with sensitivity and respect.
  • Trauma-informed care: You will bring understanding and empathy when working with individuals facing complex issues such as trauma, substance use, and disability.
