About the role:

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Designing and coordinating capacity building programs in the home and the community.
• Supporting less experienced team members in supervisory and mentor capacity
• Undertake interventions specific to a neurological caseload, including but not limited to: Physical and cognitive rehab post-stroke, ABI, cerebral palsy, congenital disorders, progressive diseases.
• Educating participants, their supporters, and their families on strategies to increase occupational engagement and performance.
• Modifying the home environment to suit the needs of individuals and to facilitate independence.
• Prescription and acquisition of assistive technology for home and community access.
• Advocation to funding bodies to support the needs of clients and their support network.

You will be working with a wide range of caseloads such as:

• NDIS
• Home Care Packages
• DVA
• Private Health
• Transitional Care Program & CRST (Queensland Health)

Skills and experience:

• Hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Have 1-2 years' experience that includes working in the NDIS space and community care
• Have a current AHPRA certificate and professional insurance.
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a range of clients.
• Enjoy working as part of a team and be willing to contribute to the continued growth of the business.
• Be Self-driven, autonomous and disciplined.
• Be patient oriented.
