Join our friendly, busy general practice located in the heart of Coolangatta.

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and professional Casual Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team. This is a great opportunity to work in a modern, purpose-built medical centre with a positive workplace culture and experienced management support.


About the Role

You will be part of a dedicated reception team providing high-quality administrative and patient care support.

Duties include:

  • Welcoming patients and managing appointments
  • Answering phones and handling enquiries
  • Billing and processing Medicare claims
  • Basic computer literacy is required for billing and Medicare claims processing
  • Supporting doctors and allied health practitioners
  • General administrative and front desk tasks

Candidates must be available for a minimum of 2-3 days per week for this casual position.

  • Is reliable, professional, and committed to excellent patient service
  • Willing to learn, follow procedures, and seek clarification when unsure
  • Can multitask effectively and manage competing priorities
  • Is flexible and available to assist with team coverage when needed

Previous medical reception or customer service experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate who shows initiative and a willingness to learn.

Applicants must be able to provide two referees — one from their current employer and one from their previous employer (if applicable). Only candidates who meet these criteria will be contacted.
