We are seeking a dynamic Market Leader support our growing Townsville office deliver projects throughout Northern Australia.
The Role:
As the Market Leader for Northern Australia, you will be pivotal in supporting and driving infrastructure projects and business cases. This role is a blend of business development, client relationship management, and project leadership. The role will have a strong focus on revenue generation and strategic growth in the region and will be supported by our local Townsville team members and AEC team members more broadly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with local, state, and territory governments, the Australian Government (particularly the Office of Northern Australia), and other relevant regional advocacy and development organisations.
• Lead and support the Townsville team, building capacity in new team members while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Manage key projects, ensuring they align with strategic goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Drive business development activities, identifying opportunities and converting them into successful partnerships and projects.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of business development and project management in the context of infrastructure, regional industry development and policy.
- Extensive network within local, state, and territory governments, and familiarity with the Office of Northern Australia's policies and programs.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of nurturing talent and leading a team towards achieving strategic objectives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Think strategically and focus on solving problems.
