HR Generalist / HR Advisor

Nutshell Advisory is a boutique HR and Industrial Relations consulting business based in WA, led by Laura Freeman, a trusted HR and ER professional known for her integrity, collaboration, and results-driven focus.

We're looking for a proactive, capable HR professional to join Laura as her right hand, someone who's confident working independently, thrives on variety, and brings both initiative and warmth to everything they do.


What you'll do

  • Provide timely, practical HR advice across the employee life cycle
  • Draft, review, and refine HR documents — from contracts and policies to reports and correspondence
  • Support clients with interpretation and application of the Fair Work Act, NES, and compliance matters
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of people strategies and HR projects
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients through clear and professional communication


What we're looking for

  • Experience in a generalist HR or advisory role
  • Strong initiative and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and integrity
