The Role:
The Australian Medical Association (WA) Financial Services division is seeking to appoint an Accounts & Admin Assistant to its team based at the head office in Nedlands. The successful candidate will play a crucial role by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and offering a high standard of office support and assistance to Insurance Broking team.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Ensure Insurance premium payments received are banked daily.
- Bank Account Reconciliations are meticulously maintained and accurate.
- Debtor management and issuing of payment reminders
- Assist the Finance and Consulting Manager in maintaining records for internal reporting and audits.
- Address ad-hoc accounting inquiries effectively.
- General office administration – mail / answering telephones calls / filing/ data entry/ typing correspondence/ printing/ binding/ maintenance of and ordering office supplies
- Visitor assistance – meet & greet, organise refreshments etc
- Creation and maintenance of client files/ records as directed
- Provide support & respond to enquiries and requests for action from Insurance Broking team
- Processing & issuing of Insurance policies & documents
Skills:
- Literacy in technology and systems, in particular word processing and spreadsheet packages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication.
- Ability to manage multiple processes concurrently with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated capacity and strong willingness to learn and develop
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
- Enjoys being a team player, and can work well in a team
- Experience in the Insurance Industry highly regarded
