Overview:

  • Assists in the administration of the South Australian Safe Drinking Water Act 2011 with a particular focus on providing advice to drinking water providers and undertaking audits /inspections of drinking water providers.
  • Assists the Principal Water Quality Adviser in delivering specialist advice and policy direction on public health matters relating to water quality including the provision of drinking water and recycled water
  • Assists in providing a single 24 hour point of contact within Government for notification and communication of drinking water incidents and facilitates the development of a co-ordinated response to safeguard public health including, where required, communication of the incident to the public.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
