About the Role
At MUFG Pension & Market Services, we are seeking an experienced
Client Relationship Manager
to play a pivotal role in managing and deepening client relationships. In this role, you will deliver premium client service, anticipate and manage client needs, and drive revenue growth through strategic account management.

As a trusted partner to our clients and their investors, you will oversee service delivery, manage client expectations, negotiate service agreements, and identify opportunities for cross-selling and strategic initiatives. This is a key role for someone who thrives in building strong, long-term client partnerships within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Focus

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with fee-paying clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure 100% client retention through proactive engagement and high-quality service delivery.
  • Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive new business revenue and report progress against targets.

Operational Management

  • Oversee operational controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Manage client issues and queries to agreed service levels, coordinating with internal teams.
  • Take responsibility for client projects, including Annual General Meetings and mailings.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and debtor management.

People Leadership

  • Support the development and growth of the Client Service Delivery team.
  • Collaborate with Client Relationship Assistant Managers to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
  • Partner with other Corporate Markets divisions to ensure seamless project delivery.

Governance & Risk

  • Ensure client compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Build long-term, value-driven relationships that enhance client trust and stability.
  • Negotiate appropriate commercial terms that balance value with cost and risk.

About You

  • Relationship management experience, ideally within financial services.
  • Proven track record of developing, retaining, and growing client accounts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in cross-selling and identifying new opportunities.
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborative team player, with the ability to work independently when needed.
