FinXL is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Systems Analyst to join our clients in Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Hobart, Launceston. The Systems Analyst (Service Configuration Analyst) will support the ongoing development and uplift of the departments Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role will collaborate with internal and external service providers to ensure accuracy and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Configuration Management Plan ensuring the CMDB is kept up to date
  • Assure automated data sources are populating discoverable attributes
  • Support CI owners to maintain un-discoverable attributes ensuring data quality Monitor quality of CMDB data, where applicable requesting Data Manager policies to be configured to manage large amounts of duplicate, stale, or orphaned CIs from the CMDB admin
  • Identify opportunities for improving configuration management processes, practices and tools
  • Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities and achieve team delivery outcomes.
  • Provide conduit between delivery and operations, addressing issues and clarifying actions required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and emerging technology best practices.
  • A solid grasp of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk, and compliance.
  • Experienced in designs, verifies, documents, amends and refactors complex software configurations for deployment.
  • Contributes to the selection of the software configuration methods, tools and techniques.
  • Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve well-engineered outcomes.
  • Proven expertise in Service Management & Technology Operations.
  • Proven experience utilising Service Now
