Vintage House Wine and Spirits is a national sales, marketing and distribution business owned and operated by the Angove family. The Angove family has been in the wine and spirits industry for over 130 years, with 50 years representing brands in the Australian marketplace.

About the role

We seek a passionate, energetic and highly motivated individual to join our Victorian team. The successful applicant will possess strong presentation, communication and natural interpersonal skills with the ability to work within the team environment. You will be goal orientated and have high attention to detail, delivering superior customer service. Proven sales territory experience in the liquor or FMCG industry would be an advantage but is not essential.

Your actions & Influence on our Team

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and expand the customer base, whilst maximising sales volumes and profitability
  • Actively seek new business opportunities in line with the On-Premise channel and brand strategies
  • Promote sales of proprietary and Agency products to both the On and Off premise markets
  • Review customer performance
  • Prepare business plans and submissions to secure potential growth opportunities
  • Develop a territory management plan and call cycle to ensure the efficient and productive coverage of the defined sales territory
  • Organise effective promotional activity within the defined sales territory, including support of our national Trade Marketing strategies

Your Talents & Personal Brand

We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and highly motivated sales professional, with excellent communication and customer service skills, and great financial acumen.  The role requires the person to work independently and in a team environment, with the ability to take ownership of allocated work tasks, meet deadlines and have strong attention to detail.

  • Minimum 2 years FMCG or Liquor experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Off and/or On-Premise sales
  • Numerate with good financial awareness and capability
  • Experience activating trade marketing (tastings, festivals, promotions etc.)
  • A strong ability to turn data into commercial insights
  • Full driver's license
  • RSA Qualification (preferred)
  • WSET Qualification (preferred)
  • IT skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience in a similar role in FMCG and product/market knowledge of the wine or hospitality industry would be advantageous.
