The primary role is to join our team as a Trainer Assessor / HSE Advisor, monitoring and supporting the safety function across various projects while providing HSE and training support, and coordinating safety practices, systems, and procedures.
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to work across multiple projects, gaining hands-on experience in safety management, training delivery, and risk assessment. You will work closely with project teams and site personnel to maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance while contributing to the development of training and induction programs.
The Tasks Ahead:
- Manage compliance with all relevant WH&S legislation.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety systems and provide operational support to project management.
- Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety inductions, in-house training, and VOC assessments.
- Perform routine safety inspections and monitor work areas.
- Communicate HSE initiatives during pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and induction programs.
- Conduct hazard observations and risk assessments.
- Attend client HSE meetings and establish positive working relationships with project personnel.\
- Assist in developing communications tools and records for all project safety meetings.
- Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning project safety programs.
- Evaluate, investigate, and address inadequacies concerning safety matters.
About You
You are a flexible and proactive safety professional with experience in delivering training and managing workplace safety in construction or heavy industry. You have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across remote sites. You hold relevant qualifications in work health and safety and training, and are committed to promoting a positive safety culture.

Key Requirements
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40122).
- Current and unrestricted driver's license.
- Senior First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- Competent understanding of WA workplace health and safety legislation.
- Minimum 2–5 years' experience in HSE or training roles.
- Experience developing internal training and induction programs.
- Experience using STEMS (desirable).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
