Lantrak is looking for an experienced Float Driver to commence full-time employment with an immediate start. Reporting to the Operations Team, you will be responsible for floating machinery between our sites across Victoria, with some interstate trips as required. You'll be operating our Kenworth T909 float, transporting Lantrak-owned plant (eg. Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Loaders, attachments, etc.), while ensuring safety and compliance with NHVR regulations at all times.

When not undertaking float work, you may be required to assist with machine operating or site support tasks, ensuring variety in your role. This is a hands-on role where teamwork and adaptability are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport plant and equipment across Victoria (and interstate when required).
  • Operate machinery when float work is not available.
  • Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the team leader and site teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Uphold safety standards and fatigue management requirements.
About You
  • Current HC Licence (minimum).
  • Current General Construction Induction card (White Card).
  • Knowledge of NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
  • Experience operating machinery.
  • Ability to navigate efficiently through Metro Melbourne, Regional Victoria, and interstate routes.
  • Strong initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious.
  • Well-presented with excellent vehicle and personal presentation.
  • Mechanically minded
