About the Role
As the Program Manager – Carer Services, you'll lead a dynamic, geographically dispersed team delivering high-quality face-to-face and partner-supported services to Carers across South Australia. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Partnerships and Operations, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure consistent, trauma-informed, and person-centred service delivery.
In this pivotal role, you'll oversee program performance, quality assurance, policy development, and team capability, ensuring Carers receive the right support at the right time. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen service models, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with government funding and quality standards.

Key responsibilities (not limited to):
- Lead, mentor, and support multidisciplinary and regionally based teams to achieve service outcomes
- Ensure service delivery meets contractual, quality, and performance standards
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partner organisations, service providers, and stakeholders
- Oversee program planning, policy development, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster a culture of wellbeing, accountability, and professional growth across teams
- Ensure effective systems for supervision, reporting, data integrity, and reflective practice
- Promote trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred approaches in all areas of service
About You
You're an experienced and inspiring leader who thrives in dynamic environments and has a deep understanding of community services. With exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, you empower others to perform at their best and deliver meaningful outcomes for Carers.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience in operational or program management within the community or health services sector
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate mobile and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of service delivery frameworks and continuous improvement practices
- Experience managing partnerships, budgets, and performance targets
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A collaborative, proactive, and values-led approach
- Knowledge of Carer issues and the community support sector (highly regarded)
Requirements
- Recognised qualifications in Social Services, Community Services or equivalent and/or significant relevant experience in the Community Services sector
- Current DHS Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Mandatory child protection training (or willingness to complete)
