Enshore is a start-up specialist temporary works consultancy supporting contractors across NSW, VIC, SA and QLD. We deliver practical, fast designs for sheet piling & trench shoring, scaffolding, formwork & back-propping, temporary propping/needling, site hoarding and temporary stability assessments with a strong focus on secant and contiguous piled excavations.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced structural engineer to enter the business as a co-founder and partner, where you will be given up to 40% ownership of this venture.

The role is specifically for an Engineering Director - Temporary Works, where you will take complete ownership for all engineering, design and drafting responsibilities and for being accountable for all engineering related deliverables.

Enshore is still a start up, therefore renumeration is on a profit share basis and will continue as such until a consistent flow of work allows for the transition over to a competitive salary. With this in mind, there are 2 options to come aboard:

1. Full time: where you would assist in business development between engineering tasks. You will be entitled to a greater share in business equity for your commitment and will be paid a greater portion of shared profits. Equity will be shared after 6-12 months of full time commitment.
2. Part time: where you will only take on the engineering responsibilities however you can remain at your current place of work. You will be paid a lesser portion of the shared profits. You will be required to transition over to full time working at a mutually agreed time. Equity will be shared after 6-12 months of full time commitment.

What you'll be doing

• Taking completed ownership for the design and delivery of sheet piling & trench shoring, scaffolding, formwork & back-propping, temporary propping/needling, site hoarding and temporary stability assessments, secant and contiguous piled excavations.
• Grow and manage a team of skilled engineering professionals.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, proactively identifying their needs and delivering tailored engineering solutions.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of engineering best practices, processes and standards.
• Contribute to the long-term growth and expansion of the engineering division through business development activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, codes and safety standards.
• Contributing to the running, growth and development of the business as a co-founder.

What we're looking for

• Chartered professional engineer status with 15+ years of demonstrated experience in structural engineering.
• CPEng (structural), NER, REPQ and RPEVic registration is required for this position.
• Proven track record of leading and managing complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Exceptional technical expertise in structural engineering, with a deep understanding of design principles, construction methodologies and project delivery
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on engineering projects and oversee sub-consultants where they are required to fill a skill or resource shortage.
• Demonstrated experience in people management, including the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
• Thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations, codes and safety standards.
• Willingness to travel interstate and across NSW where the need arises.
• Australian work authorisation must be held at the time of application.
