The role is mainly based in two locations across Melbourne. You will either be based full-time in Essendon or Northcote. This hands-on role focuses on site supervision, ensuring projects run efficiently with high-quality workmanship and effective time management. You will coordinate closely with trades, suppliers, and administration to keep builds on schedule while maintaining strong quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction activities on-site for custom houses and double-storey townhouses.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with trades and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services
  • Oversee quality control to ensure work meets building codes, Australian Standards, and client expectations
  • Manage workflows and schedules to meet project timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate closely with the administration for documentation, reporting, and procurement support
  • Apply your carpentry experience in supervising framing, finishes, and other structural elements
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly

Skills & Experience

  • Prior construction management experience is essential, ideally within residential projects involving custom homes and multi-level townhouses. 3-5 years of experience necessary.
  • Practical carpentry background preferred but not essential
  • Proven ability in time management and quality control on residential builds.
  • Knowledge of building codes, NCC, and Australian Standards relevant to residential construction
