In this full time, permanent role based in Mount Isa, you'll lead teams that deliver our Youth and Family programs in the region. Reporting to the Director of Queensland, you'll be a key member of our Queensland leadership team in Mount Isa and will help us create lasting change for children everywhere.
You will make a difference by:
- Providing induction and supervision to new staff, and managing staff performance
- Supporting Team Leaders to develop, monitor and review practice aimed at improving outcomes for service users including children
- Working collaboratively with external services/agencies, and developing strong stakeholder relationships across the sector
- Developing existing programs and evaluating outcomes for continuous improvement, as well as driving new business development
- Identifying, managing and monitoring risks to service delivery, quality, staff wellbeing and Child Safeguarding

You're proactive, creative and flexible in your approach to supporting teams and understand the importance of working with families and children driven by a trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally sensitive approach. Your knowledge of early childhood, youth and family support programming will allow you to make well informed decisions and lead with impact.
This role requires:
- Qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related field, or significant relevant experience
- Significant experience leading teams in the children and families sector in Australia
- A genuine passion to support and manage a high-performing team to meet and exceed objectives and achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
- Proven experience managing budgets and developing reports
- Experience working with First Nations families and communities
- Proven experience with complex strategic planning, program management and delivery
- Current driver's licence
