About the Role

As an Estimating Officer, you will provide high-quality and accurate estimating services to support the delivery of operational and capital works across our Network Operations Division. You'll play a key role in developing and distributing works estimates and instructions using approved databases and tools, ensuring alignment with organisational and network plans.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and delivering preliminary works estimates and instructions.
• Developing job progress and completion reports.
• Interpreting and refining system databases to support work pack development.
• Estimating resource and material requirements using system tools.
• Applying electrical knowledge to ensure effective resource allocation.
• Supporting management in meeting budget targets and optimising work strategies.
  Recommending improvements to enhance estimating processes and outcomes.

About You

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong estimating experience in an energy distribution environment. You bring a collaborative mindset, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement. With your ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong stakeholder relationships, you're ready to contribute to the future of energy at Essential Energy.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent experience.
• WorkCover NSW Construction and Induction certificate.

Desirable:

• Electrical trade knowledge.
• Frontline Management training.
  Valid driver's licence.
