The Role: Insurance Building Estimator

  • Direct Reporting: Work directly under the guidance of the Construction Manager.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately estimate and schedule repair projects.
  • Utilise industry-leading technology to excel in estimating and supervising insurance repair work, achieving and exceeding KPIs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating outstanding written and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships and effectively manage conflicts.

  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with the insurance industry and water claim management is beneficial but not mandatory.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Trade qualification (carpentry preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in estimating and scheduling repairs, with insurance-related experience being an advantage.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Construction Code, Building Regulations, and Workplace Health and Safety standards.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with mobile devices, repair management systems, and the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Ability to create, interpret, and work with detailed scopes of work.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring top-quality repair outcomes.
  • Proactive and a team player committed to meeting KPIs.
  • Strong dedication to maintaining safety standards.
