As part of our continued growth in 2025, Infravisory are seeking a Senior Advisor - Water to be based in our Brisbane Office, located close to Fortitude Valley Train Station.
As a Senior Advisor – Water, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of business case estimates to our key clients within the Water Sector. The role includes developing first principle estimates, providing constructability advice and developing construction programs and risk models.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating:
Develop First Principle estimates for a range of complex water projects such as pipelines, treatment plant upgrades and pump stations. Experience working with Expert Estimation, Candy or CATS would be favourable. - Tendering & Procurement
: Engage with market to obtain supplier quotes to assist in providing a robust estimate for our clients. - Constructability Advice
: Develop detailed construction methodologies and provide constructability advice to clients to assist in developing a robust estimate. - Construction Program
: Develop detailed construction programs to assist in developing a robust estimate. Experience with MS Project and P6 is favourable. - Risk Management
: Work with project stakeholders to develop a detailed risk register which is used to run a Monte Carlo simulation to provide a P50 / P80 / P90 contingency number. - Report Writing
: Write a detailed basis of estimate report, outlining methodologies, assumptions and exclusions. The basis of estimate report is ultimately what the Client receives. - Measurement
: Measure and quantify construction activities from drawings and specifications to inform cost estimates and schedules. Produce a detailed BOQ in agreed WBS that can form part of the tender documentation submitted to the Contractors. - Review and evaluate client documentation to develop a through understanding of project requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and subcontractors, to achieve competitive and reliable submissions.
- Conduct site visits and identify project risks and opportunities.
We're looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional results in the infrastructure sector. To excel in this role, you will bring:
Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field (mandatory).
- 3-5 years of local experience working with Tier 1-3 Civil Contractors, with hands-on, on-site practical experience (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale Water projects (preferred).
- Relevant professional memberships (preferred).
- Must have the right to work in Australia.
- Experience using MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Experience using Expert Estimation, Candy or CATS.
- Experience using CostX.
