Health & Wellness Centre Manager
Element Health Optimisation Centres deliver advanced wellness therapies—including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), Red Light Therapy, Infrared Sauna Cocoon, Cryotherapy and more—in a modern, empathetic, client-first environment. We combine evidence-informed protocols with warm, human service.
Role Purpose
We're hiring a Centre Manager for our Claremont centre who will also operate as a Senior Wellness Consultant. You'll lead a team of three full-time Wellness Consultants, own sales and retention outcomes, elevate client experience, and ensure safe, consistent delivery of all modalities.
Key Outcomes (KPIs)
You'll be accountable for achieving the following:
Team Leadership
Effectively manage and coach 3 full-time Wellness Consultants; maintain full roster coverage, training and performance cadence.
Revenue Growth
Increase monthly centre sales.
Conversion & Retention
Lift new-client retention (measured as clients who rebook a second session, purchase a package, or join a membership).
Client Experience
Implement initiatives that improve NPS/client satisfaction, reduce cancellations/no-shows, and increase 5-star reviews.
Review cadence: 30/60/90-day plan, then monthly KPI reviews with the Clinic Director.
Responsibilities
A) Leadership & Operations
- Lead day-to-day operations; set team priorities, run daily huddles and weekly 1:1s.
- Build a sales and service culture: coaching, role-playing scripts, objection handling, and best-practice follow-ups.
- Own rosters and coverage aligned to opening hours (Mon & Fri 8am–5pm; Tue–Thu 8am–7pm; Sat 8am–4pm; Sun 9am–1pm).
- Ensure minimum consultant coverage at all times (or as policy dictates), smooth shift handovers, and punctual session starts.
- Maintain stock levels, consumables, and presentation standards across all rooms.
- Produce weekly performance summaries (sales, retention, NPS, utilisation, issues/risks) for the Directors of the business.
- Hit monthly financial target through: structured consultations, tailored protocols, and clear recommendations (casual vs package vs membership).
- Work with Director to drive conversion funnels: first-visit education → rebook/package/membership; implement 24-hour and 7-day follow-ups.
- Monitor lead sources, show/ no-show rates, and cancellation patterns; run win-back and reactivation initiatives.
- Partner with marketing on local campaigns, referral programs, and review generation; maintain accurate lead notes in Zenoti.
- Ensure a warm, empathetic service style; uphold Element's values (Community & Connection; Human-First).
- Standardise the client journey: greeting, intake, contraindication screening, therapy briefing, post-session debrief, and next-steps.
- Implement comfort touches (room prep, temperature, entertainment options), clear signage, and pre-/post-care guides.
- Collect and act on feedback (NPS, Google reviews); resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
Safely operate and supervise all modalities in line with protocols and safety standards:
Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers (incl. BIBS mask / free-flow systems)
- Red Light Bed
- Infrared Sauna Cocoon
- (and other centre modalities as applicable)
- Prepare clients for treatment; reinforce education on indications/contraindications (e.g., HBOT context and safety).
- Ensure signed waivers prior to treatment; maintain accurate treatment documentation and client records.
- Perform routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and escalate issues promptly.
- Uphold infection control procedures; clean and reset equipment/chambers between sessions.
- Support any relevant accreditation/compliance activities; participate in the centre safety program.
- Use Zenoti for bookings, POS, client notes, memberships, packages, and performance dashboards.
- Track utilisation, AOV, revenue per hour, membership churn, and therapist productivity; translate insights into weekly actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Preferred: 2+ years in health/wellness/beauty/fitness or related client-facing field; team-lead or supervisory experience is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated sales and client-retention capability (packages/memberships/upsell pathways).
- Comfortable operating therapeutic equipment with training; high standards of safety and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Zenoti (or similar CRM/POS) is an advantage.
- Current First Aid/CPR desirable (or willingness to obtain).
- Willingness to complete third-party training (e.g., HBOT Technician).
Attributes & Skills
- Empathetic, kind bedside manner; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Confident coach who can role-model sales and service on the floor.
- Strong problem-solver; calm under pressure; outstanding attention to detail.
- Confidentiality-minded with respect for clients' health information.
- Organised, punctual, and reliable; able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Passionate about health & wellness and emerging technologies; eager to learn and improve.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary plus performance bonus tied to KPI achievement (revenue, retention, client experience).
- Structured onboarding with a 30/60/90-day plan, ongoing training (incl. HBOT), and career development.
- Supportive, modern workplace with a real focus on human-first care.
