Plant Operations
Manager
. Our client is an established Civil & Mining Contracting business with huge growth plans for 2026 and beyond due to a strong pipeline of work and current tenders on the go.

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced
Plant Operations Manager
to lead the coordination, mobilisation, and optimisation of our plant & equipment fleet across a diverse range of civil and mining projects nationwide. Based at their Brisbane head office, this role provides the perfect blend of strategic planning and hands-on field involvement with regular travel to project sites across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management, maintenance, and allocation of all plant & equipment across multiple mining and civil projects
  • Plan and execute plant mobilisations and demobilisations for new and existing sites
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Maintenance teams to ensure plant readiness and operational efficiency
  • Monitor compliance, safety, and performance of the fleet to meet company and project requirements
  • Implement and improve asset tracking, maintenance schedules, and utilisation reporting
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective deployment of resources
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment uptime and minimise operational risk

About You:

  • Proven experience in plant operations, fleet management, or maintenance management within the civil or mining sector
  • Strong understanding of heavy earthmoving equipment and supporting systems
  • Excellent organisational and logistical planning skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, travel regularly, and thrive in a dynamic project-based environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to safety and operational excellence
