Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance

We are currently seeking a Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance to join our team. This is a three-year fixed term full-time position at our Simberi Operation. Working a 21/14 FIFO Roster from any Australian capital city

Reporting to the General Manager Processing you will be responsible leading and developing maintenance systems and executing long-term strategic plans to support Simberi Safety, Environment, Community and Production requirements.

The opportunity

• Delivering studies to determine and manage maintenance vulnerabilities and improvements as required.
• Ensuring that the Fixed Plant Maintenance function develops and uses effective plans that derive from and support the Operating department and Simberi Operations plans.
• Managing Asset Management obligations and maintenance strategies based on baseline reliability principles and life cycle costing.
• Controlling and managing the Fixed Plant Maintenance operational & capital budgets including cost control.
• Ensuring timely, accurate reporting of Maintenance function performance to the Executive General Manager and other internal and external parties.
• Developing and maintaining reports that identify targets and variance to target.
• Managing effective use of available resources, including own time, in support of the delivery of the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department deliverables.
• Contributing to the development of capability within the Fixed Plant Maintenance department. This includes succession identification with detailed development plans for identified employees.
• Building and developing an effective Maintenance department and ensuring the work performance of self and direct reports meets all role and business plan requirements.
• Managing outputs and development of the department and all team members.

We would love to hear from you if you have​:

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification is essential.
• Diploma in Leadership & Management is desirable.
• Relevant experience in a similar Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance role.
• Previous expatriate experience on mining or construction projects in a remote location.
• Proven leadership includes commercial acumen, influencing, team development and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
