Bidfood is recognised as one of Australia's leading foodservice distributors delivering high quality products and services to a diverse customer base. Bidfood has developed a network of business units across multiple divisions specialising in wholesale Foodservice, Meat and liquor. Our Accounts Payable team are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Brisbane based at Morningside. This role will have a focus toward supplier reconciliations.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the successful applicant will be confident, results driven and self-motivated. The Accounts Payable Officer Role is a high-volume transaction role. You will be required to liaise with both suppliers and the Bidfood branch network. Prior EDI experience will be seen as an advantage along with foodservice knowledge.

Duties:

  • Data entry and checking of inventory, expense and personal reimbursement transactions
  • Support all internal and external customers to ensure correct processes are being followed
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up where necessary
  • Undertake other ad-hoc administration duties as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven results within a prior accounts payable role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly in Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent phone manner and communication skills
  • Work confidentially and handle sensitive information
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work autonomously
  • QLD Police Clearance certificate
