Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our Perth team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a background in database management, with an understanding of database architecture, design, and optimisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain database systems to ensure availability and performance.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity
  • Ensure data security and integrity through regular audits and updates
  • Monitor database performance and tune systems as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of database systems and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in database management
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and optimise database structures.
  • Plan and execute database upgrades and patches.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of database configurations and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users and developers.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is typically required. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Certified Professional are highly regarded.

Relevant Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and other database query languages.
  • Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security procedures.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary Range $80,000 – $85,000 AUD.
