**The Role & What We Are Looking For**

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

- Implement, maintain, and test backup and recovery processes
- Enforce security measures to protect company data
- Provide first level support and maintain MS SQL Server database environment
- Build database structures based on detailed design
- Assist in implementation of data archiving and space management techniques
- After hours and weekend work will be required from time to time, with support from Senior DBA

We're also looking for experience in the following areas:

- Basic level of administration and management skills of the Microsoft SQL platform up to and including SQL 2017
- Basic level of understanding of relational database concepts design.
- Introductory knowledge of SSRS, SSIS and SSAS components of the SQL server platform.
- Basic understanding of ERP solutions in a mid/large organisation and the database requirements thereof.
- Basic experience in Microsoft technologies/ Cloud technologies and big data frameworks are desirable
