For over 40 years, family-owned and operated Domaine Wine Shippers (DWS) has distributed wine for some of Australia's most loved, respected and award winning NSW wine brands including; Meerea Park, Ross Hill Wines, First Creek Wines, Moppity Vineyards, Silkman Wines, and Coppabella Vineyards. Among other Australian icons such as Turkey Flat, Seppeltsfield, Penny's Hill, Hahndorf Hill, Babich (NZ), Woodstock, and Clarendon Hills. DWS is also the exclusive importer of Champagne Billecart-Salmon throughout Australia, as well as some of the most desirable premium Domaine's from Burgundy and surrounds.

About the role

Reporting to the State Manager for NSW, and working in collaboration with the National On-Premise Sales Manager, this role is a strategic cog in our NSW sales team, designed to lead the commercial development of key on-premise accounts in Sydney. You will be responsible for managing high-profile hospitality groups and venues, driving premium wine distribution, and building long-term partnerships that align with DWS's brand and business objectives.

This is a commercially focused role requiring strong strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and deep wine knowledge. You will be the face of DWS in Sydney's dynamic hospitality scene, representing our portfolio of domestic and imported wines with professionalism and passion.

About you

You are a commercially savvy wine professional with a proven track record in managing key accounts within the on-premise channel. You thrive in strategic roles where relationship-building, negotiation, and market insight are key to success. Your deep understanding of wine—both domestic and imported—is matched by your strong network within Sydney's hospitality industry.

The key skills you will need to bring to the role are:

  • Demonstrated success in key account management, business development, or strategic sales roles within the wine or premium beverage industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
  • High-level wine knowledge and confidence in presenting to sommeliers, beverage directors, and hospitality executives.
  • Established relationships within Sydney's hospitality sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or wine studies is highly regarded.
