About the opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team on a 1-year part time 0.8 FTE contract
This role is responsible for administering admissions, enrolments, and associated services across all UQ College programs and courses. The role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of student records within relevant student management systems, ensuring a seamless and efficient admissions process.In this role, you'll leverage your excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities to respond to diverse enquiries, support key administrative processes, and manage multiple databases and student systems. Your proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptability to new computer systems will be essential, as will your empathy and ability to connect with students and staff from various cultural backgrounds.
We need you to have broad experience and knowledge in student and academic administration including visa regulations as well as experience in using PRISMS and or tertiary sectors. If you also have a strong understanding of the relevant policies and procedures for the enrolment of students, along with strong time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, we want to hear from you Join us and make a meaningful impact on our vibrant academic community.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Completion of a relevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in administrative or student services roles within an education or service-oriented environment.
- Experience using enterprise systems and software to manage and maintain accurate records, with the ability to extract and report on data as required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve routine issues, using sound judgment and initiative within established guidelines.
- Proven capacity to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Desirable
- Understanding of the Australian education sector, particularly in relation to student admissions, enrolments, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures (e.g., visa regulations, PRISMS, ESOS Act).
- Proven experience supporting international students within the higher education sector.
