The Company

The team shares an unwavering commitment to providing quality products and service to our growing customer base on Australia's Eastern seaboard.

We are currently seeking an experienced Foodservice Sales Representative fluent in Thai or Vietnamese to develop and service restaurant and foodservice accounts across Greater Melbourne and based at our modern offices in Notting Hill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect and acquire new Thai or Vietnamese restaurants and foodservice accounts across Greater Melbourne
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with restaurants, cafes, and foodservice operators throughout the territory
  • Conduct regular visits to existing and prospective foodservice customers
  • Implement strategic business development plans to grow market share within Melbourne's foodservice sector
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate seafood products from our extensive range
  • Process orders, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery coordination
  • Provide product knowledge, menu suggestions, and culinary support to chefs and restaurant owners
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the foodservice sector
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through new business acquisition and account growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer queries and ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales reports

Required Skills & Qualities:

  • Fluency in Thai or Vietnamese (spoken and written) will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated track record of new business development and territory growth
  • Proven ability to cold-call, prospect, and convert new customers
  • Self-starter comfortable building a customer base from the ground up
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in food/seafood wholesale or foodservice distribution
  • Strong existing connections within Melbourne's restaurant and foodservice community highly desirable
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Greater Melbourne daily
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Resilient, persistent, and results-oriented approach to sales
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational abilities and time management skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Professional presentation and customer service orientation
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems would be highly regarded
