Design & Technology Assistant

Applications are invited for a Design and Technology Assistant commencing late January 2026.
This is a permanent, part time position, approximately hours per week working within the Design and Technology Department during the school term. There is some flexibility in the nature of the working week and this will be agreed upon with the successful applicant.
Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the design and technology workshops, classrooms, storage and office areas. This includes setting-up daily activities, maintaining specialised equipment (such as laser cutters and 3D printers) and ensuring supplies of materials, resources & equipment are available in different spaces as needed. You will also provide a diverse range of administrative support within the department, including ordering supplies, organising equipment servicing, processing invoices and ensuring compliance with different Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
The successful applicant for this position will be highly efficient, able to prioritise and meet deadlines and have the willingness and flexibility to work collaboratively in a small, enthusiastic team. You will be self-motivated, reliable, friendly and open to learning new skills and undertaking training, where necessary.
Experience and/or interest in graphic design, exhibition design or managing digital archives would also be an advantage.
