The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle/Senior School Science and Maths Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics and Science to students from Years 7–10, with a focus on developing subject mastery, problem-solving skills, and exam readiness.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and deliver high-quality tutoring sessions in Maths and Science (Year 7–10), tailored to students' individual needs.

· Support students in developing strong foundational knowledge, critical thinking, and effective study habits.

· Provide feedback to students and parents regarding progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.

· Prepare students for school assessments, tests, and exams, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum and relevant state requirements.

· Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records through Smart Path Advisors' systems.

· Contribute to a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment.

Key Requirements

· Strong academic background in Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology desirable).

· Experience tutoring or teaching middle and/or senior school students.

· Clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum and senior school subject requirements.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.

· Organised, reliable, and committed to student success.

· Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.

· Reliable Transport to travel to student homes and to the office.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

· Teaching degree (completed or in progress) or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.

· Experience in preparing students for Year 7-10 subjects and exams.

· Familiarity with different school systems (SACE, Australian Curriculum.) will be highly regarded.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
