30 Acres is a vibrant café located in the heart of Norwood, proudly supported by our own working farm nestled in the Adelaide Hills. Our ethos is simple: fresh produce, seasonal creativity, and a tight-knit kitchen team that thrives on quality and passion.

We're on the hunt for a Brunch Chef who's hungry for opportunity — with a clear path to take on a leadership role within 6 months..

Position Details

  • Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm, including prep and close (kitchen open 8am to 2pm)

  • Roster: 2 consecutive weekdays off

  • 4 weeks annual leave: Closed from 24 Dec to 3 Jan every year

  • Public Holidays: Must be available for public holidays except Easter Sunday and Labor Day (closed)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Be a senior member of the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef
  • Help designing seasonal menus inspired by produce direct from our farm
  • Supporting prep, service, inventory, and supplier coordination
  • Creating warm and consistent dining experiences that reflect our local roots
  • Ensuring day to day running of kitchen is consistent
  • Mentoring junior staff with a growth mindset

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years' experience in a senior kitchen role
  • Experience in baking and simple cake making
  • A deep respect for fresh produce and low-waste cooking
  • Excellent time management and early morning energy
  • Calm, clear communicator and team motivator
  • Someone excited by the potential to step into leadership soon
