Mastery Football Academy is Adelaide's premier youth soccer academy, trusted by 300+ families with consistent 5-star reviews. We operate across five locations delivering elite youth football development for ages 3-16, with pathways from grassroots through to international competition in Spain.

The Role

We're seeking our first employed Head Coach to lead coaching operations across all locations. This is a hands-on coaching and leadership position where you'll spend approximately 24 hours per week on-pitch delivering training sessions across all age groups and programs, while also overseeing our contractor coaching team, managing player onboarding, and coordinating operations to ensure academy excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver approximately 24 hours per week of high-quality on-pitch coaching across Mini Kickers (ages 3-5), Development, and Elite programs (ages 6-16)
  • Supervise contractor coaches across five locations—monitoring session quality, ensuring coaches arrive on time, run professional sessions, and use our app correctly for attendance and player ratings
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor new coaching contractors as the academy expands
  • Manage player inquiry funnel and trial bookings, conduct trial sessions, and convert leads into registrations
  • Coordinate session logistics, scheduling, and operations across multiple locations
  • Prepare and accompany players on interstate tournaments and international trips to Spain
  • Support establishment of new academy locations by training and deploying coaching staff
  • Build relationships with local clubs, schools, and football organizations

About You

Essential:

  • Professional football coaching qualification (Certificate II level or international equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification coaching experience with youth or senior players
  • Strong operational and people management skills with experience supervising staff or contractors
  • Comfortable with technology and app-based systems
  • Excellent communication with players, parents, and coaching staff
  • Sales-minded approach to converting player interest and growing enrollment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently across multiple sites
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for training sessions
  • Willingness to travel interstate and internationally with players
  • Current First Aid and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Competent English language skills

Desirable:

  • Experience managing contractor teams or multi-site operations
  • Background in customer service or lead management
  • Knowledge of CRM or sports management software
