The Opportunity

We are seeking a Recruitment Manager to join the HSF Kramer lateral recruitment team based in Melbourne.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment of high quality candidates for positions within our Legal Practice Groups and Business Services teams nationally. You will pursue candidates that reflect our firm values of Human, Bold and Outstanding, and operate as an ambassador for the firm, promoting our brand with candidates and external recruitment agencies alike.

What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes (with a focus on sourcing candidates directly wherever possible);

  • Provide thoughtful advice to hiring managers during briefings, sharing market insights and best practice principles to support internal mobility and the attraction of top talent externally;

  • Partner with HR colleagues in the Business Partnering, Reward, HR Operations and D&I to ensure lateral recruitment efforts reflect the policies, processes and priorities of the Australian and global HR function;

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal clients, prioritising responsiveness, and with a clear commitment to client service;

  • Manage relationships and contractual provisions with key recruitment suppliers, including search firms and job boards;

  • Drive direct sourcing using multiple recruitment channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, developing market-specific expertise, enabling the firm to target passive candidates;

  • Collaborate with your lateral recruitment colleagues to share knowledge, drive efficiencies, celebrate each other's success and evenly distribute work where possible;

  • Work closely with the Resource Management team and Practice Group HR lead to analyse the genuine and ongoing need to recruit;

  • Ensure the applicant tracking system is kept up to date and effectively utilised in line with the data governance policy, and to support effective reporting on recruitment costs, time-to-hire and other metrics;

  • Build and maintain local market knowledge regarding best-practice and publicly available information regarding competitor activity;

  • Participate in and contribute to national and global recruitment projects; and

  • Promote the firm's brand and EVP with external recruitment agencies and candidates.

What you'll bring

  • At least 6 years' experience managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, likely gained through a combination of agency and in-house experience within the legal sector;

  • Strong internal client service focus and well developed influencing skills;

  • Ability to build networks and rapport with people at all levels of the organisation and externally with peers and providers;

  • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and demonstrate resilience whilst building strong relationships with a demanding client base;

  • Comfortable operating autonomously on an agreed plan;

  • Experience working as part of a global function, balancing consistency of approach and delivering against local needs;

  • A genuine commitment to shared success, and supporting the development of others in the lateral recruitment team; and

  • Advanced user of LinkedIn Recruiter preferred.
