New positions for Graduates (start 2025) or experienced Traffic Engineers are currently available with this stable and sustainably growing Sydney-based Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning business.

We provide services to both the public and private sectors, including

  • Traffic and Parking Impact Assessment reports for all types of developments, ranging from small residential DA's to major commercial/industrial developments.
  • Strategic advice to identify the constraints and opportunities of a development site, and to identify the potential "issues" associated with the various options available.
  • Parking Assessments and Certifications - design of the vehicular access and car parking layouts to achieve the optimum parking arrangements, as well as compliance with the local parking code requirements and Australian Standards
  • Construction Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Control Plans for the construction stages of development projects

What will I be doing every day?

  • Assisting in the preparation of traffic impact assessments, car parking area designs, and construction traffic management plans.
  • Preparing concept designs for traffic engineering works.
  • Liaising with clients, Transport for NSW, and Local Councils to clarify, negotiate, and resolve issues, as well as provide status updates.
  • Conducting swept path analysis utilising AutoCAD or Autodesk Vehicle Tracking software.
  • Traffic modelling intersection proposals using SIDRA.
  • Writing reports that are articulate, accurate, and solutions-based.

What do I need to bring to the table?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. Town Planning graduates may also apply
  • Basic knowledge and an enthusiastic interest in geometric road design, intersection design, and sustainable transport planning.
  • An understanding of technical standards such as Austroads and Standards Australia, and how to apply them.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, or similar software.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to a variety of stakeholders.
  • An understanding of the development and planning process in NSW.
  • Some experience in NSW gained in either local government, Transport for NSW, or a consultancy.
  • Experience using ADOBE Photoshop & Illustrator would be an advantage.
