Senior Traffic Planner

We are seeking a Senior Traffic Planner to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping sustainable solutions for transport advisory projects across the region.

  • You will be responsible for conducting intersection analysis and traffic modelling, analysing signal timing, parking and traffic data, and designing traffic engineering solutions.
  • Key Responsibilities include:
  • - Conducting intersection analysis and/or traffic modelling
  • - Analysing signal timing, parking and traffic data
  • - Traffic engineering design, including swept path assessments, site access and car parking layout reviews, devising intersection upgrades and road safety improvements
  • - Undertaking intersection and corridor studies
  • - Documenting traffic impact assessments (TIAs)
  • - Preparing proposals, technical reports and presentations
  • - Managing clients and stakeholders with support

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • - A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • - Ideally 3–6 years of experience in transportation engineering
  • - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in traffic engineering and transport planning
  • - Experience with traffic modelling and design software such as SIDRA, VISSIM and AutoTurn
  • - Excellent communication, time management, and prioritisation skills
  • - A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
