The following are the responsibilities and requirements for the role of a Bookseller.
Key Responsibilities
The below responsibilities and require
Welcome and connect with customers in a warm, authentic way
Ask great questions to understand what they love to read
Recommend books with passion, knowledge, and heart
Work with your team to achieve sales goals
Celebrate and sell our monthly Book of the Month and VIP offers
Work as part of a supportive, fun, high-performing team
Contribute to store presentation, ensuring our bookstores are organised, easy to navigate and clean. This includes assisting with stock processes such as processing a delivery, completing product lookups and filling all shelving units
Requirements
English literacy skills
Ability to work on the floor for long periods of time
Lift boxes of stock up to 15kg
Able to climb a ladder
Able to push/pull a stock trolley and assist with the moving of equipment like display tables when required
Flexible availability including late night trade and weekends. Availability throughout December is essential
