About the role
The Horticulturist Spray Technician plays a crucial role in managing pests and weeds across various sports fields. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive spray programs while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
In this role, you will provide quality customer service, effectively allocate resources, and maintain up-to-date administrative records. Your commitment to horticultural best practises will contribute significantly to the community's enjoyment of our public spaces.
About You
We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong background in horticulture and parks maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to safety and quality service delivery.
- Certificate III in Horticulture/Parks and Gardens or equivalent experience.
- Current WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
- AQF Level 3 Chemical Accreditation certificate.
- Valid Class C Driver's Licence.
Desired qualifications include a Medium Rigid Driver's Licence, First Aid Certificate, and AQF Level 4 Chemical Safety / Risk Management certificate. You should be able to manage your workload independently while adapting to changing priorities and customer needs.

Other important information
- The commencing salary for this position is up to $68k per annum. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $78.8k per annum on completion of assessment of skills and performance + $19.49 weekly allowance + 12% superannuation.
- We have a permanent full-time role available.
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- This role is located at our Erina Depot.
