About the role

FTA Insurance is seeking an experienced Team Leader Business Support (Administration) to join our office in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position that will see you leading a small team of administrative professionals in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to ensure the smooth running of our daily operations. You will also be carrying out the work of a business support officer.

Australian work rights are essential for this position.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing and coordinating the work of your administrative team to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Providing guidance, mentoring and training to team members to help them develop their skills and capabilities
  • Managing workflows, prioritising tasks and delegating work to ensure deadlines are met
  • Identifying process improvements and implementing changes to enhance our administrative functions
  • Serving as the key point of contact for administrative inquiries and escalating issues as needed
  • Liaising with other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
  • Generating reports and analysing data to provide insights and recommendations to management
  • You will also be carrying out 75% of the workload of a business support officer.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a team leadership role within an office administration or business support function
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Experence in general insurance or life insurance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage a team and liaise with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using office productivity software such as Microsoft Office. If you are proficient with WInbeat that would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with administrative processes and procedures within a professional services environment
