We are seeking a QA Manager to join a well-known poultry provider delivering products to Australian homes – think chicken nuggets, tenders, and ready-to-eat chicken

The Role:

As QA Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and day-to-day maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety System (QMS) to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including Trade Measurement Laws and Export Acts.

Critical Skills and Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in food processing and distribution.
  • Knowledge of food science, agricultural science, or related safety training (including HACCP, SQF, and GMP).
  • Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Current state driver's licence.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comprehensive understanding of processes within the role's scope.
  • Ability to make quick on-the-job decisions and long-term strategic decisions.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ELO, and iLeader applications.
  • Ability to meet departmental targets.
  • Understanding of relevant industry guidelines.
  • Experience or knowledge of further processing and its impact on legal requirements for food safety and quality risks.
