Real Dairy Australia (RDA) is an Australian owned business with locations and manufacturing facilities throughout Australia (Queensland, NSW, Victoria) with the head office located at Greenacre. RDA is a world class supplier of dairy-based products, services and solutions to the retail, foodservice and food ingredients markets.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of our small but growing dairy facility. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, drive efficiency, and help shape the future of our business.
About the Role:
As General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility while also taking an active role in production, quality, and team leadership. This position requires someone who can balance strategic decision-making with practical, on-the-floor involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage daily site & dairy production operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality output.
· Actively participate in production processes where required – this is a hands-on role.
· Oversee compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
· Manage procurement, inventory, and supplier relationships.
· Lead, motivate, and develop a small team to achieve operational goals.
· Drive continuous improvement in production, quality, and cost efficiency.
· Work closely with the owners/board on strategic growth opportunities.
About You:
· Previous experience in dairy or food manufacturing management (preffered).
· Strong understanding of production processes, quality, and compliance standards.
· Hands-on and practical, with the ability to step into operations when required.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to build a positive team culture.
· Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
· Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and suppliers.
Why Join Us?
· Opportunity to take ownership of a growing business.
· A hands-on leadership role where your impact will be immediate and visible.
· Supportive team environment with a strong commitment to quality.
If you're a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a business with real growth potential, we'd love to hear from you.
