Temp, Part Time 14 hours, 2 days per week $46.74 to $53.07/hour

Job Description
The position is for 2 days per week to support the Director Corporate Services which supports eight (8) departments within Council.

In this role you will need to provide high-quality administrative support to the Director and manage all correspondence and requests from our residents, Mayor, Councillors, and Members of Parliament through Content Manager and Pathway.

The role is responsible for maintaining the director's diary and ensuring the director's time is effectively balanced and managed to foster positive outcomes. The role will have you managing incoming calls and inquiries to the Director's Office where you will be accountable for priority assessment and accurate research on matters to ensure that the director is fully briefed to allow appropriate action/decisions to be made

About You
The desired candidate will be highly motivated and process-driven, with high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional customer service and a can-do attitude. To be successful you will need to demonstrate your competency in the following essential areas:

  • Experience providing support at a senior management level.
  • Strong time management and diary management experience
  • High level of discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality in highly political environment.
  • Advanced experience in computer packages, inclusive but not limited to, word processing, outlook, power point, databases, and document management systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of Council.
  • Ability to multitask and achieve results under pressure.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills that foster the co-operation of others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
