Director of Clinical Services

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Clinical Services to lead clinical care, support staff and drive quality outcomes.

About the Role:

As the Director of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing all nursing and midwifery services within the healthcare facility. This role involves overseeing clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care, managing departmental budgets, and developing clinical policies and procedures. The Director also plays a key role in shaping the facility's long-term strategy by contributing to broader organisational planning and decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction in alignment with The George Centre's strategic vision
• Lead and manage all clinical services across the hospital
• Drive clinical governance, quality improvement, and accreditation processes
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development
• Manage nursing budgets, staffing, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Champion patient safety and evidence-based practice
• Ensure compliance with NSQHS Standards and requirements

About You:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 5 years' senior nursing management experience
• Private Hospital experience essential
• Proven ability to lead and inspire large clinical teams
• Strong knowledge of healthcare legislation, accreditation standards, and clinical governance
• Excellent interpersonal, strategic, and financial management skills
• Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management or leadership (desirable)
