Bidpool is a submission support services consultancy that takes the stress out of bids. We foster collaborative environments where bid teams feel challenged and supported to create winning submissions. Our team of strategy, submission management, writing and design specialists integrate seamlessly with bid teams to provide end-to-end submission support services – from developing a winning strategy, creating beautiful branding, and crafting compelling and compliant responses, to polishing and uploading the final documents.

What are we looking for?

Our writers are curious, collaborative and tenacious, not afraid to take the initiative to drive the required outcomes, and love a good laugh

We are looking for people with:

  • A minimum five years' experience writing and editing content.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, journalism, professional writing, publishing, media and communications, stakeholder engagement, marketing, law or equivalent.
  • An outstanding command of the English language, and professional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills, and an ability to multitask.
  • A high attention to detail and unwavering commitment to deliver the highest quality finished product possible.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, and proficient IT literacy.

About the role

As a bid writer, you will support and guide the development of clear, concise and compelling bid submissions that articulate the value propositions and win themes of our clients. On any given day, you may be required to:

  • Attend kick-off sessions and participate in content development workshops.
  • Participate in bid strategy workshops and support the development of win themes and key messages.
  • Work collaboratively with workstream leads and subject matter experts to develop engaging and compliant responses.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers to develop infographics and other visual tools that support the written proposal.
  • Review content to ensure responses are high-quality and compliant.
  • Follow editorial style guides and templates.
  • Develop, write and edit bid library documents, including case studies and CVs.
