Loucas Seafood Restaurant is looking for an Experienced full-time Senior Sous Chef for our restaurant located at 242 Pulteney St Adelaide, 5000.

Loucas Seafood Restaurant is a premier dining destination in Adelaide, specializing in high-quality seafood dishes. We pride ourselves on our exceptional food and service on our exceptional food and service and are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team.

In this hands-on role the successful applicant will have the following qualities and skills:

  • Oversee kitchen operations and support the Head Chef in daily activities.
  • Plan and execute menu development, including specials, while maintaining the restaurant's high standards.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure peak performance.
  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and quality consistency.
  • Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and order supplies efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
  • Handle staff scheduling and assist in labor cost management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

About You

We are seeking someone who has:

  • A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in seafood or fine dining.
  • A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for cooking and innovation in the kitchen.
