Experienced Sous Chef & Chef de Partie & Commis – Press Food & Wine, Adelaide

Press Food & Wine is on the hunt for talented, motivated chefs to join our kitchen team. We're looking for a Sous Chef ready to take on a leadership role, as well as a skilled Chef de Partie & Commis who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Sous Chef responsibilities:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a sous chef.
  • Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team
  • Drive quality, consistency, and creativity
  • Contribute to menu development and kitchen operations
  • Mentor and train junior chefs

CDP:

  • Confidently run your own section with precision and efficiency
  • Deliver dishes to the highest standard, every time
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service
  • Grow your skills and develop towards senior roles

Commis:

Must have cert III & willing to learn. Support senior chefs, food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations. Receiving deliveries, storing ingredients properly, and rotating stock.

  • Proven experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years in a reputable, established restaurant preferred)
  • Passion for great food, fresh produce, and attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • A positive, professional attitude
