About the role
In this role, you'll support the smooth operation of Create NSW's boards and committees by delivering reliable executive and secretariat services. You'll help coordinate meetings, manage governance processes, maintain accurate records, and assist with board appointments and related documentation. Your work will contribute directly to Create NSW's commitment to strong, transparent decision-making across the cultural sector.
You'll also play an important part in broader governance and project activity across the division. This includes working with internal and external stakeholders, supporting Artform Board assessment processes, coordinating input for Cultural Ministers Meetings, and assisting with planning, reporting and risk management. Through this mix of responsibilities, you'll help ensure Create NSW's programs and partnerships are well supported and aligned with its wider strategic objectives.

About You
You bring solid experience supporting boards, committees or advisory groups, ideally within government or the not-for-profit sector. You're confident preparing agendas and minutes, managing actions, and handling sensitive information with discretion. Your background includes drafting governance documents, coordinating complex meeting schedules and keeping accurate records, along with a clear understanding of Ministerial and Cabinet processes. You write well, communicate clearly, and can produce board papers and briefings that are accurate and easy to follow.
You're someone who can balance competing demands while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged. You use sound judgement when dealing with complex or sensitive matters and maintain a strong awareness of issues that may affect the people you support. You're comfortable working across different systems and workflows (such as Objective, SharePoint, or similar tools) and you understand the full lifecycle of board membership, from appointments and renewals to inductions and conflicts management.
