About the role
This is an exciting new opportunity to join a dynamic company secretariat team that supports a purpose-driven Board of Directors. The role will support the Manager, Corporate Governance and Sustainability and work directly with the Company Secretary to deliver exceptional support to the Board.
This role is perfect for a detail-oriented administrative professional with board and legal experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting with a dynamic team, managing diverse stakeholders and working independently, we'd love to hear from you
Duties
- Manage the preparation, coordination and distribution of Board and Committee agendas and papers.
- Support and advance corporate administration.
- Provide calendar and general support to Board Directors and support the monitoring of probity and screening checks.
- Support the Legal team with a range of administrative and support tasks.

Skills and Requirements
- Minimum two years' experience in a legal secretariat or board-related role
- Preferable to have experience using the Diligent platform.
- Ability to be proactive, multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines where attention to detail is critical.
- Professional and personable approach to supporting multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn the diverse range of businesses and areas of law applicable to The Benevolent Society.
