About the role

Join the dynamic team at Charter Financial Services' as a Bookkeeper based in Balcatta, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping services to a range of small to medium-sized businesses, helping them maintain accurate financial records and streamline their accounting processes.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining client financial records including bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger
• Preparing and processing invoices, receipts, payments and payroll
• Reconciling of key control accounts including ATO liability account, wages, PAYG and GST
• Preparing Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements for clients
• Preparing client quarterly superannuation submissions
• Providing administrative support and liaising with clients to address queries and resolve issues
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Australian bookkeeping experience (at least 2 years), preferably in an Australian public practice environment
• Experience in the preparation of Business Activity Statements and payroll.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks)
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Outstanding communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
