ABOUT THE ROLE
As MESHKI's Head of Sourcing and Production, you will be at the heart of our mission to revolutionise the fashion industry. You'll navigate the global marketplace to forge partnerships that are not just about transactions but about shared values and mutual growth. Your expertise will ensure that every MESHKI product reflects our commitment to quality, ethical practices, and sustainability.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Source, evaluate, and manage global suppliers to meet MESHKI's standards for quality, cost, sustainability, and ethics.
- Negotiate contracts and supplier terms to secure favourable pricing, capacity, and accountability for production issues.
- Oversee end-to-end production processes, including samples, testing, approvals, and QC sign-offs.
- Manage supplier allocation, capacity planning, raw material logistics, and lead times to minimise disruptions.
- Partner with Logistics to align production timelines with shipping and delivery requirements.
- Lead Production and potential QC teams, setting KPIs, fostering accountability, and driving efficiency.
- Ensure supplier compliance with QA standards, ethical sourcing, labour laws, and environmental regulations.
- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier diversification, cost reduction, and risk management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Buying, Planning, Finance, and Marketing to align sourcing with business goals.
- Optimise supply chain efficiency, balancing cost, lead times, and inventory to reduce risk and waste.
- Integrate sustainability and ethical sourcing into strategy, conducting audits, certifications, and supplier training.
- Monitor market trends, materials, and technologies to drive innovation and sustainable practices.
- Use data, BI, and AI tools to enhance supply chain visibility, responsiveness, and decision-making.
- Establish and maintain risk management frameworks, including contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
- Build long-term, capability-focused partnerships with suppliers, supporting innovation, circularity, and shared growth.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- 7+ years' sourcing/procurement experience in fashion, with strong knowledge of global supply markets and diversification beyond China.
- Skilled negotiator with expertise in trade regulations, duties, and strategic factory positioning across Australia, the US, and key regions.
- Proven track record managing multi-warehouse operations and supporting international expansion from Australia.
- Strong advocate for ethical and sustainable sourcing practices, aligned with MESHKI's mission and values.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to secure favourable outcomes.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects with efficiency and strong communication skills.
- Anticipates industry trends and adapts sourcing strategies to keep MESHKI competitive and agile.
- Tech-savvy with experience in ERP, AI, and BI tools to drive operational efficiency and data-led decisions.
- Inspirational leader who fosters collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and innovation across teams and suppliers.
