The Fish Factory is excited to announce a job opportunity for another Retail Supervisor. Seeking to fulfil full-time employment, the successful candidate will have previous experience leading a retail team with a passion for customer service and operations. The role offers a 5-day working roster of 43 hours per week. For the right candidate, the role can offer roster flexibility around work-life commitments. This opportunity is ideal for someone with leadership experience in the retail industry, who is looking for increased responsibility and direct managerial reporting. Your role

This is a full-time, onsite position based on 43 hours per week and worked over five days which includes one weekend day.  Start and finish times and days of work are negotiable and will be arranged to fit the successful candidate amongst the rest of the team. Supporting the General Manager – Retail, and working alongside the Retail 2ic, this role will see the successful candidate assist with set-up & pack-down of the shops, daily operations of the seafood market, team management and occasional rostering duties.

The main responsibilities of the position are:

·       Fulfilment of customer walk-in orders and processing of payments

·       Lead by example in the delivery of superior customer service

·       Support the team to delivery friendly and helpful advice to customers

·       Assist with training new employees

·       Ensure merchandising standards fit with business requirements and maintain good stock control and rotation

·       Lead the team and report to the General Manager where necessary

·       Engage in regular meetings with management

·       Set up or shutdown of market

·       Encourage a positive and enthusiastic work culture/environment

·       Manage in-store customer enquiries and bookings

·       General shop duties where required

Experience, qualifications & personal attributes

Essential

• Retail industry experience in a supervisory capacity
• A genuine passion for customer service; being approachable and confident with customers
• Knowledge, qualification and/or proven application of training in food safety & hygiene standards
• Fast-thinking, organised and able to successfully manage shifting priorities
• Ability to work in a busy environment, and under pressure
• Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
• Champion of a safe working environment
• Excellent personal hygiene and presentation
• Strong work ethic
